The purpose of our
Membership Team is to work with newcomers and regular attendees to help
them take the first steps toward membership. The goal of this team is
to create a welcoming atmosphere that fosters a desire to join in covenant
fellowship with others here at St. Paul’s. The shepherd’s
staff serves as the icon for this team and reminds us that we all need
shepherding in order to reach the green pastures and still waters. The
staff also reminds us of the shepherd who left the ninety-nine to find
one lost sheep. Likewise, our membership covenant carries a
responsibility for all our members to stay in covenant with one another
so that none end up missing, lost, or gone astray. Membership at St.
Paul’s is a trust relationship bonded by grace and Christian
love.
Welcome team members strive to go the extra mile to make our
guests feel welcome at St. Paul’s. Year round fellowship events
sponsored by this team include the spaghetti dinner/talent show, New
Member Classes, Alpha, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, Harvest Sunday
meal, Christmas Bazaar and Luncheon, the Mother/Daughter/Friend
banquet, and coffee fellowships. We’re always looking for new
fellowship event ideas!
