Adult Sunday School
offers an opportunity to delve more deeply into various aspects of
Christianity. It is
similar to a Small Group in that it covers a specific topic for a
predetermined period of time.
Classes are conducted during each of the three Sunday Morning
Services in the Adult Sunday School classrooms.
Classes may be one
or more quarters in duration (A quarter normally lasts 13 weeks). A description of the classes
offered appears in St. Paul’s newsletter “The Journey” the month before
the next class begins. The
format for classes varies.
Some teachers use a book, some use videos, and most hand out
questions to stimulate thinking and discussions. Subjects covered range
widely. For example, they
may involve the history of the church, a book or a character in the
Bible, an analytical aspect of Christianity, or special themes such
as: “40 Days of Purpose”,
“Are We living in End Times?”, “Teen Parenting”, or “Marriage
Enrichment” to mention just a few. The subject for the each term may be selected by the
class or by the teacher.
